“Years ago, a small water pipe in the basement of my very old house sprung a leak. I heard water running but couldn’t imagine what it was. I opened the basement door and saw I had a new “wading pool” that was on its way to being a swimming pool. I’ll never forget the horror. It was Friday night but my plumber came right away, thankfully. The hole in the metal pipe was small and I remember thinking if only I’d had a way to stop the leak before the plumber came.
